Fishing report update 8.19.12

Salmon has slowed as fish seem to be on the move.  We have been tracking them North, and the bite was out front of Trinidad, but reports today from sport charter captain’s is that it has slowed there too.  This doesn’t mean that it is over, just that schools of fish will be moving through fast on their migration, so it will be more hit and miss.  Halibut has picked up however with many coming over the rail in all sizes’.  Tuna water is beginning and we have already had a few shots with some score’s on the high thirties.  As the warm water continues to develop I will post mileage when it gets into range.  If you are interested in tuna you should call and get on the list.  When it happens, I just go down my list to those of you that are on it until I fill the boat.  Remember, salmon ends on the 9th of Sept., rock fish on the 15th., and halibut at the end of October.  I will probably start rapping things up in mid to late October depending on the tuna water and interest in tuna fishing.  Live bait will be available to us starting next week for the tuna, and we will be taking full advantage of that.  Captain, Matt—-
